It is forecasted that from October 5 to 7, 2025, storm No. 11 will directly affect the Gulf of Tonkin, coastal areas and mainland areas of Quang Ninh, causing moderate rain, heavy rain, some places with very heavy rain with thunderstorms, tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.
Thunderstorms can cause localized flooding, landslides and property damage.
To respond to storm No. 11, the Provincial Party Committee and the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province have issued many documents directing and requesting localities and units to proactively prevent, respond, and overcome the consequences of natural disasters according to the "4 on-site" motto - forces, means, logistics and on-site command.
To date, military units in the province have mobilized over 4,000 officers and soldiers along with vehicles, supplies and equipment to be ready to participate in rescue.
Communes, wards and special zones mobilized over 13,000 people to be on duty at vulnerable points, supporting people to build houses and protect property.
The fishing vessels have been informed of the storm and will complete their anchorage on October 4. Aquaculture facilities organize reinforcements, focusing on bringing people to shore before 12:00 on October 5.
Speaking at the meeting to direct the work of preventing and fighting storm No. 11, Mr. Bui Van Khang - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Civil Defense Steering Committee - requested localities and units to absolutely not be subjective or negligent, seriously implement storm prevention and control plans from the grassroots level, maintain 24/7 duty, and strengthen propaganda and warnings to the people.
Immediately inspect and review residential areas along rivers and streams, areas at risk of landslides... to proactively relocate and evacuate people from dangerous areas to safe places; organize guarding at spillways when there are floods; propagate and encourage people (especially students) not to swim in rivers and streams, collect firewood, fish... when there is a flood.
Closely monitor the development of rain circulation after the storm, promptly warn to the residential groups, neighborhoods and people to proactively take preventive measures, resolutely implement measures to ensure people's safety.
With the proactiveness of all levels, sectors and functional forces, Quang Ninh aims to absolutely not cause any human casualties and minimize property damage caused by storm No. 11.
