Vocational training associated with preserving and promoting cultural values
In recent years, Quang Phu commune has paid attention to and coordinated with relevant units to organize many training classes and vocational training for people.
For example, at the end of 2024, in Buon Dak and Phu Xuan village, the local government opened classes to teach advanced gong playing skills and weaving for the people. These are all particularly difficult areas of the commune, with a large number of ethnic minorities living there.

The old man of Y Krum village, a prestigious person in Phu Xuan village, shared that when I saw his compatriots, especially the younger generation, learning traditional crafts and being trained in gong skills, I was very happy.
"As the economy and society develop, culture must still be preserved, conserved and passed on to the next generation. I am very happy that the local government is interested in preserving the heritage of the E De ethnic group - the elder of Y Krum village shared more.

According to the Y Krum village elder, every time he listens to a young group playing gongs during training sessions, he feels many emotions and memories of his childhood, still intact in his mind.
Sharing the same passion, artisan Y Wang (residing in Quang Phu commune) said: "I can beat gongs, weave, and weave brocade. The biggest wish when we get old is to pass on the traditional occupations of our ancestors to the younger generation. Therefore, when teaching vocational skills, I always wholeheartedly guide and patiently support those who are slow to learn so that everyone can progress.

Contributing to the preservation and conservation of cultural values
The whole Quang Phu commune currently has 21 villages, hamlets, and hamlets. Of which, there are 7 villages and hamlets in the category of ethnic minorities with special difficulties. This is an area with a diverse population structure, with ethnic minorities accounting for a significant proportion.
Each ethnic group in the area owns traditional handicrafts with their own mark such as weaving, brocade weaving... Not only a means of livelihood, these professions also contain the quintessence of culture, labor practices and ways of behaving towards nature, preserved through many generations.
However, in recent years, the number of young people who know and pursue traditional professions has decreased. Faced with that reality, the People's Committee of Quang Phu commune determined that the teaching of traditional occupations needs to be implemented methodically and strategically, both preserving cultural heritage and opening up economic development for the people.

Mr. Cao Ba Hoang - Vice Chairman of Quang Phu Commune People's Committee - said that the locality is orienting to combine traditional vocational training with creativity and market demand.
People are instructed to design new designs, diversify product uses, combine traditional techniques with modern materials to create products that both preserve cultural identity and are suitable for consumption.
Leaners are not only equipped with skills but also have a clear understanding of the history of the profession, the meaning of the pattern and the role of the profession in cultural and social life. Thereby, maintaining the profession becomes an awareness of preserving national identity, not simply an economic activity, Mr. Hoang emphasized.
