On September 26, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province announced that it had just issued an urgent dispatch on proactively responding to storm Bualoi (storm No. 10), requesting departments, branches, localities, and Con Co special zone to synchronously deploy many solutions to ensure the safety of people's lives and property.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 1:00 p.m. on September 26, storm Bualoi was located about 121.3 degrees East longitude from Luzon Island (Philippines), with strong winds of level 11 (103-117km/h), gusting to level 14, moving in the West Northwest direction at a speed of 30-40km/h.
It is forecasted that from the evening of September 26 to the morning of September 27, the storm will enter the East Sea and become the 10th storm of 2025, likely to strengthen and develop complicatedly, directly affecting the Central region, including Quang Tri.
In this situation, the Provincial People's Committee requested the People's Committees of coastal communes and Con Co special zone to coordinate with the Border Guard, the Department of Agriculture and Environment, and the Maritime Port Authority to count ships and instruct fishermen to move out of the danger zone, resolutely not allowing ships to operate in the next 24 hours.
Localities must proactively evacuate people in areas at risk of flooding, landslides, riverside, streamside, and low-lying areas; implement the motto "green at home, greener at home, more at home in the fields" to ensure the safety of people's lives.
The Provincial Border Guard Command needs to grasp the situation at sea, proactively advise on sea ban when necessary; the Provincial Military Command, the Provincial Police, and rescue forces urgently arrange forces and means to be ready to participate in rescue.
The Department of Agriculture and Environment is assigned to inspect and ensure the safety of irrigation dams and flood prevention works; the Department of Construction coordinates to inspect construction works and urban infrastructure; the Department of Industry and Trade directs the work of ensuring the safety of the power grid system, especially in vulnerable areas. The Departments of Culture and Education are also required to prepare safety plans for students and tourists when the storm makes landfall.
The Provincial People's Committee requires localities to regularly be on duty seriously, promptly report to the Provincial People's Committee and the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, proactively advise on handling arising situations, ensuring absolute safety for people.
