National Highway 91 is one of the main routes connecting Can Tho with the provinces of An Giang, Kien Giang, Dong Thap... and the border. However, over the years, the road section of National Highway 91 passing through Ninh Kieu and Binh Thuy districts (Can Tho city) has been alarmingly degraded, potholes have appeared more and more and more, the road surface is peeling, especially in locations with high density of heavy trucks.

Many people doing business at the Cach Mang Thang Tam - Nguyen Thong intersection (Binh Thuy district) said that every time the rainy season comes, the worry is always there for them and those participating in traffic on this route.
According to a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper on June 1, at the above intersection, there are rough locations, potholes... making it difficult for people to travel.
Observations show that although the authorities have patched the site, there are still many gravel scattered on the road.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Dan (aka Mr. "Ba Dan", Tra Noc ward, Binh Thuy district) said that he heard his son say that there was a damaged road at the above location, leading to a fatal accident, so he and his son quickly came to patch it up.
For more than ten years, countless roads, potholes, and potholes in Can Tho have been safely patched by Mr. Ba Dan. Mr. Dan said that he will continue to do this charity work, when he no longer has the strength, he will pass it on to his children and grandchildren and try to do as much as possible every day to help society.
Mr. Nguyen Van T, a fruit seller on National Highway 91, shared: "Every time it rains, I get worried. The road is slippery, the potholes are like traps, people cannot see clearly to avoid them. I almost fell several times because I fell into a deep hole. Not far away, on May 31, a fatal accident occurred on this route".

"Mastery and repair of the road must be done synchronously and promptly, it is impossible to temporarily patch the viu and then damage it again. People's lives are being threatened every day," said Mr. Tran Van Nam, a resident living along National Highway 91, indignantly.
It is known that this is a route in the project to upgrade and expand National Highway 91 (section from Km0-Km7), expected to start construction on August 19, with a total investment of VND 7,238 billion.
