On May 3, the number of passengers and flights through Tan Son Nhat airport increased sharply as people finished their holidays and returned to Ho Chi Minh City to work and study. According to data from the Tan Son Nhat Airport Operations Center, the operating plan on May 3, 2026 recorded a record increase. The entire port is expected to serve a total of 795 flights.
Along with the dense flight frequency, the number of passengers through the port also increased sharply, estimated at 13,802 passengers.
Because it is the last day of the holiday, the number of visitors to Ho Chi Minh City is significantly higher than the number of visitors. The airport is expected to welcome 75,048 passengers on landing flights, while the number of visitors who checked out is 61,754 people.
Regarding flight operations, 795 flights in the day are balancedly distributed with 398 arrival and 397 departure flights.
Compared to May 2, the operating volume on May 3 increased significantly. Previously, on May 2, Tan Son Nhat airport recorded 700 flights with about 112,000 passengers.
To meet the increased number of passengers on May 3rd, Tan Son Nhat International Airport continues to increase personnel, coordinate with airlines and ground service units to maintain smooth operation.
