Recorded in the area of routes such as Truong Son, Cong Hoa, Hoang Van Thu, Bach Dang leading to Tan Son Nhat airport, the line of vehicles running from afternoon to evening.
Ms. Nguyen Nga (35 years old, accountant) shared that she booked a ticket to Phu Quoc three months ago and chose the night flight time frame to avoid traffic jams: "If we had to wait until April 30 to depart, there would definitely be no more tickets or there would be many".
According to the representative of Tan Son Nhat International Airport, on April 29, the last working day before the holiday, the number of visitors arriving and departing reached more than 120,000, with 744 take-off and landing flights. During the holiday season, the airport serves an average of 122,000 passengers per day, an increase of about 9% compared to normal (112,000 trips/day), including 72,000 domestic and 50,000 international visitors.

After a series of long-term flight delays at the airport in recent times, passengers are particularly concerned about the quality of ground service. Tan Son Nhat Port has developed a flexible operation plan, coordinating with units to review infrastructure, adjust operating procedures, and divert traffic, and at the same time requiring representatives of airlines to be on duty at the counter to promptly handle cases of delay and cancellation.
The airport also recommends that passengers arrive 2 hours early for domestic flights, 3 hours for international flights, check their luggage and documents fully, and prioritize online check-in to save time. In particular, a part of passengers can now use chip-embedded citizen identification cards or VNeID level 2 accounts to complete procedures without documents, thanks to aviation services integrated with facial recognition technology.

To support passengers, the airport has arranged youth union members to support at stations T1 and T3 during peak hours from April 29 to May 4, maintaining the frequency of shuttle buses from 15 - 20 minutes/trip at fixed pick-up points at stations T1, T2 and T3.
put into operation since April 19, Terminal T3 is a key project with a designed capacity of 20 million passengers/year, equipped with a modern infrastructure system and spacious space. To date, Vietnam Airlines has safely operated more than 390 flights and served more than 100,000 passengers at this new terminal.
Currently, Vietnam Airlines has transferred some flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi and Van Don to T3. The remaining flights are still operating at T1. The airline plans to adjust the plan to exploit all domestic flights to T3 in the coming time, after completing technical coordination and ensuring synchronous services.
