The government says to handle it but the pickleball court is still operating vigorously
As reflected in the article "Invasion of land in Dong Anh" about the situation of using land for the wrong purpose at the foot of Thang Long bridge for lease, warehouses, pickleball courts... discussed with Lao Dong in December 2024, Mr. Le Tu Tien - Vice Chairman of Hai Boi Commune People's Committee - confirmed that the above reports are correct, and the locality will handle them.
"Quick's Sport pickleball court is located in Hai Boi commune, this court has not been licensed. That is the land they have used since 1989, after the construction of Thang Long bridge was completed, workers moved away, and local people built factories to encroach. We have issued an official dispatch and record of administrative violations to transfer to the district. Of the 28 households at the foot of the bridge, 24 factories have been administratively sanctioned.
Here, after January 1, 2025, after the Capital Law takes effect, we will proceed to handle it. We will also cut off all electricity and water in this area after January 1," said Mr. Tien.

However, according to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper on April 1, 2025, all areas where the authorities confirmed that this violation still exist and operate vigorously.

Contact the contestant manager of Quinn's Sport to book a contest and equipment rental schedule, this person confirmed that all the courts are operating normally, and there are even many promotional programs for players in large groups.
"My family has a cluster of 6 courts, I can book (reserve a seat-PV) any day. Peak hour price is 150,000 VND/hour, down 20%. I not only rent out the court but also rent out rackets, the price is very affordable", the court owner advertised to reporters on the afternoon of April 1.
Although scheduled for 7pm, the owner of this sports field confirmed that it could still provide a training ground with full services, electricity and water... unlike the confirmation of the government's decision to cut off the power to all previously violated areas.
Expanding the area of violations
According to the reporter's records, 3 months after the violation was reported to the authorities, this area is not only "un peaceful" but also brazenly expanding the violating area by dumping waste and leveling the ground to make a car parking lot for customers coming to play pickleball.
The car parking area of this Quinn's Sprots pickleball court was built right opposite the court gate, on an area of about 300m2, right at the foot of Thang Long Bridge. The entire area has been poured with solid, sturdy concrete. At the time recorded on the afternoon of April 1, many vehicles were parked here.

Faced with the current situation, the reporter contacted and worked at the People's Committee of Hai Boi commune (Dong Anh, Hanoi). However, we were informed that the leaders were busy meeting and could not contact us.
Previously, when contacting Vu - introduced as the owner of Quinn's Sport pickleball court (under Thang Long bridge), the reporter was revealed about how to "make the rules" to make construction convenient, economical, and not difficult in Hai Boi.
"You are not local people, so you need to find someone with a face like Mr. and Mrs. Huong - Tuyen, or ask a villager here to take your place in making the law. If conditions are created, it is only possible to temporarily build a level 4 house and make a law with the commune, which will cost about 1 - 2 dozen million VND, Vu instructed.
