Restricting vehicles from circulating in the central area of Ho Chi Minh City is to ensure traffic order and safety to serve the 50th anniversary of Saigon - Gia Dinh city officially honored to be named after President Ho Chi Minh.
According to the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) of Ho Chi Minh City Police, restricted vehicles include cars with 9 seats or more, trucks with 1.5 tons or more, and buses.
Limited time: From 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM and from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on July 2, 2026.
Accordingly, the restricted area is limited by routes, including:
- Nam Ky Khoi Nghia (section from Vo Thi Sau to Ham Nghi).
- Nguyen Thi Minh Khai (section from August Revolution to Nguyen Binh Khiem).
- Pasteur (section from Le Loi to Nguyen Thi Minh Khai).
- Truong Dinh (section from Ly Tu Trong to Nguyen Thi Minh Khai).
- Nguyen Du (section from Ton Duc Thang to Cach Mang Thang 8).
- Le Duan (section from Pham Ngoc Thach to Nam Ky Khoi Nghia).
- Huyen Tran Princess, Han Thuyen, Alexandre de Rhodes routes.
The Traffic Police Department recommends that people proactively monitor traffic diversion information and choose appropriate routes to limit congestion.
Vehicles can circulate on alternative routes: Ham Nghi - Tran Hung Dao - Nguyen Thi Nghia - Cach Mang Thang 8 - Dien Bien Phu - Hai Ba Trung - Ton Duc Thang and connecting routes suitable according to the guidance of the traffic police force and the actual traffic situation.
Based on the actual traffic situation, the traffic police force will organize regulation and may adjust the traffic diversion plan to ensure smooth traffic during the program.
