On the afternoon of November 7, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Pham Van Tuan - Vice Chairman of Thuan Hoa Commune People's Committee - confirmed that the incident happened last night (November 6), fortunately causing no casualties. Today, authorities are present at the scene to determine the cause and find a solution.

The new bridge under construction is 44 meters long and 3.5 meters wide. At the time of the incident, it was not raining, the stream water was low, the project had completed two piers, and the construction unit was building a suspension span across the stream.

Previously, the flood in mid-June caused the old Lung Cang bridge to collapse, isolating more than 70 households. The locality called on benefactors to support the construction of a new bridge.

On July 7, the new Lung Cang bridge with reinforced concrete structure and a load capacity of 10 tons was started. The construction cost is about 3 billion VND, of which the benefactor supported 2 billion VND, and Vi Xuyen district contributed 1 billion VND.
