As reported, on October 23, the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue, which is also the Provincial Civil Defense Steering Committee, in Document No. 363/BCH-CQTT requested to end the search for missing victims at Phong Chau Bridge.
The reason is that currently, the Phong Chau bridge area has a large amount of mud, sand, garbage, fast-flowing water, limited visibility due to turbid river water, and a lot of alluvium, making the search for missing people difficult and ineffective.
After the Phong Chau bridge collapse, the Provincial Military Command and Provincial Police coordinated with other forces to search for 4 missing people, and 4 bodies have yet to be found.
