Not far from Hanoi, the Hoa Binh lake area (Phu Tho province) is one of the areas with the most unique natural landscapes in the Northwest region.
This place has a large water surface system, dozens of large and small islands, a diverse ecosystem and unique cultural values of the Muong, Dao, and Thai ethnic communities.
Not only is it a hydropower project with historical significance, Hoa Binh Lake is also likened to a "green bay on the mountains", converging many conditions for developing ecotourism, resorts, experiences, community tourism and water sports tourism.
In recent years, Northwest tourism has increasingly affirmed its position on the Vietnam tourism map.
However, compared to the available potential, the Hoa Binh lake area has not yet fully promoted its special advantages to become an attractive destination for domestic and international tourists.
The tourism product system still lacks linkage, and unique products with their own imprints have not been formed.
Tourism infrastructure is still limited; investment attraction and promotion activities are not commensurate with the potential.
In particular, after the merger, despite facing many development opportunities in the new space, many localities are still struggling in the process of shaping a suitable tourism development model.
In order to create a forum for management agencies, experts, businesses and localities to exchange and evaluate the current situation of tourism development in the Hoa Binh lake area; identify opportunities and challenges, and at the same time propose sustainable development solutions in the new period, Lao Dong Newspaper organizes a seminar "Tay Bac tourism development: Awakening the potential of Hoa Binh lake area".
The program is expected to take place at the Tien Phong Commune Hall, Phu Tho province on the afternoon of June 30.
