On September 25, according to records, the bank of Da Huoai River in village 3, Da Oai commune, Da Huoai district, Lam Dong had a landslide about 40 - 50m long.
The landslide area is increasingly eating into the durian growing land of Mr. Huynh Qua’s family next to the river bank. In the landslide area, there is also an electric pole pulling telecommunication wires about 2m from the river bank that is in danger of collapsing.
In particular, in the area where landslides are approaching and the Da Quay bridge pier across the Da Huoai River connecting Da Oai Commune (Da Huoai District) with Da Kho Commune (Da Teh District, Lam Dong). The nearest landslide location on the riverbank is about 8 to 10 meters from the Da Quay bridge pier.
It is worth mentioning that the landslide area continues to have complicated developments and there is a high risk of further landslides when heavy rain occurs.
The leader of the People's Committee of Da Oai commune (Da Huoai district) said that the locality has recorded the above landslide situation and reported to the District People's Committee to have measures to prevent landslides; at the same time, there is a plan to ensure safety for Da Quay bridge and protect people's production land.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper reported that due to heavy rain lasting through the night of September 24 to the early morning of September 25, a serious landslide occurred at the drainage culvert on Provincial Road 721 through Loc Hoa village (Da Lay commune, Da Teh district, Lam Dong).
The landslide created a deep hole in the roadbed, almost completely breaking the road surface in the direction of traffic from Bu Dang district (Binh Phuoc) to Da Teh district (Lam Dong).
This is a vital route connecting Da Huoai, Da Teh and Cat Tien districts (Lam Dong) with Bu Dang district (Binh Phuoc). Currently, the Department of Transport of Lam Dong province has issued a notice and coordinated with the People's Committee of Da Teh district to temporarily ban vehicles from passing through the landslide site to ensure traffic safety.
