Previously, due to heavy rain lasting through the night of September 24 to the early morning of September 25, a serious landslide occurred at the drainage culvert on Provincial Road 721, through Loc Hoa village (Da Lay commune, Da Teh district, Lam Dong).

At this landslide point, a deep hole was created in the roadbed, causing almost a complete break in the road surface in the direction of traffic from Bu Dang district (Binh Phuoc province) through Da Teh district (Lam Dong).

Faced with the above situation, the People's Committee of Da Teh district has organized forces to blockade the scene, prohibiting cars from passing in both directions; at the same time, arranged forces to be on duty 24/24 hours at both ends of the landslide to ensure safety and deploy plans and measures to overcome the landslide.

According to Mr. Tong Giang Nam - Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Teh district, the landslide situation is very complicated and there is a risk of further landslides. Therefore, the local authorities are forced to block traffic to ensure the safety of people and vehicles.

During the lockdown, people traveling on Provincial Road 721 from Da Huoai through Da Teh district to Cat Tien (Lam Dong) through Bu Dang district (Binh Phuoc) and vice versa need to choose another direction to ensure safety.

Currently, the People's Committee of Da Teh district is reporting to the People's Committee of Lam Dong province to direct the earliest landslide remediation, ensuring the safest way for people and vehicles to pass through.

When the landslide repair work is completed, the authorities will notify specifically so that people can understand and travel back and forth to ensure absolute safety.

Provincial Road 721 is a vital route with a total length of more than 50km connecting National Highway 20 with 3 districts of Da Huoai, Da Teh and Cat Tien (Lam Dong) to Bu Dang district (Binh Phuoc).
