In the past two weeks, at Km262+400 - the Treo Pass D'Ran bridge area on National Highway 20, the main road connecting Da Lat (Lam Dong) with Phan Rang (Khanh Hoa) has suffered a serious landslide.
To ensure safety, the authorities were forced to ban traffic in both directions through this area, making it difficult for people in Tram Hanh to travel.
In the two residential groups of Tram Hanh 1 and Tram Hanh 2 (Xuan Truong - Da Lat ward, Lam Dong), people struggled to cross the trail through the forest, muddy to go to work and take their children to school.
This is the peak coffee harvest season, and people still have to go to the fields every day. About 30 students and teachers were forced to cross this road to get to class.

Mr. Tran Quoc Phong (47 years old, Tram Hanh 2 group) shared that since the night of October 28, after the landslide, the two-way blockade has made every journey extremely difficult. The route around National Highway 27, through Fi Nom intersection and back to National Highway 20, is nearly 100 km long - too far and almost impossible.
There is no other way, we have to widen the trail through the forest, crossing a coffee plantation about 400 m long to temporarily go, he said.
But the temporary road becomes a nightmare. The rain for many days caused the red soil to wrap around and slip, creating deep mud, posing a potential danger. Many parents have recommended that the government support the distribution of stones to make the road safer for people and students.
To help their children go to school, every morning and afternoon, 3 parents volunteer to use a tractor to transport students, teachers and people to get through the muddy section. Students walking or sitting behind motorbikes are given plastic pants by their parents to avoid mud from getting on them.
The image of the tractor pulling dozens of people and students squeezing through the slippery red soil made those who witnessed it feel heartbroken.
On the afternoon of November 10, the militia of Xuan Truong - Da Lat ward came down to support the renovation of the temporary road. Chairman of the People's Committee of Tran Hung Son Ward said that the ward has coordinated with residential groups to spread stone at muddy sections, creating better conditions for movement while D'Ran Pass is still blocked.
The leader of the Department of Construction of Lam Dong province said that he had prepared a plan to overcome the landslide and prepared enough human resources and machinery for construction as soon as the Provincial People's Committee issued an emergency project implementation order. However, due to the large volume of landslides, the handling needs to ensure technical procedures, so it cannot be carried out immediately.
"The Department understands very well that traffic diversion from October 28 has caused people to have difficulty traveling. We hope everyone understands and shares, said Mr. Truong Trung Thang - Deputy Director of the Department of Construction.
