On the morning of November 9, at the scene of Xuan Lanh commune, hundreds of workers and mechanical vehicles of the railway industry are urgently constructing to fix the problem.
According to the Repair Command, the eroded railway foundation is about 100m long, causing the rails to hang and cannot be operated.
The construction unit said that it will first build a temporary bridge, pour rocks to reinforce the roadbed, repair the rail support rails and repair the communication system along the route.
"The geology of the area is complicated, so it is not possible to confirm the exact time of the route opening," informed the construction site commander.

Since the incident, all North-South trains through the Dak Lak area have been interrupted. The railway industry has maintained some freight trips by boosting the route.
According to the temporary plan, passengers traveling from the North will stop at Dieu Tri Station (Gia Lai Province) and be transferred by bus to Tuy Hoa Station (Dak Lak Province), about 100km away, to continue their journey.
Some other trains have changed their schedules, only operating the Hanoi - Da Nang route and vice versa.
