On the afternoon of March 10, Mr. Nguyen Van Ninh - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thach Tri commune (Ha Tinh city) - said that a fishing boat of local fishermen, after hitting a big piece of fish weighing about 1.5 tons, was hit by waves when it reached the shore. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
Previously, on the morning of March 9, fisherman Ho Phi Anh (born in 1971, residing in Toan Thang village, Thach Tri commune) went out to sea on a 24CV fishing boat with another fisherman to fish about 10 nautical miles from shore.
When discovering a large number of herd of herring, the fishermen surrounded the net to catch it. After collecting the nets, the number of fish caught in the nets was unbelievable.
Immediately afterwards, the fishermen sent the boat to bring the products to shore. However, when the boat arrived about 20m from the coast, it was unfortunately hit by a large wave.
The two fishermen quickly jumped out of the boat, then asked dozens of local fishermen and mobilized more tractors to promptly come out to support towing the boat and fishing nets to shore safely.

After that, the fishermen dragged the nets and pulled out about 1.5 tons of the fish. These fish are sold to traders and people inside and outside the locality, bringing in an income of more than 10 million VND.
