From press video to second class of more than 50 students
Just a few days after Lao Dong Newspaper published a video about free summer classes in Vinh Xuan commune, the image of children learning in a safe and healthy environment quickly spread, attracting the attention of many parents.
Ms. Le Thi Hanh, a parent in Hoa Binh commune, said that she was very happy to see the children in Vinh Xuan have such a meaningful summer class. The image of the children learning knowledge and playing in a safe and healthy environment made her very emotional.
According to Ms. Hanh, right after watching the video on Lao Dong Newspaper, she proactively contacted the locality and the class organizers, expressing her desire to have a similar class for her children and children in the neighborhood.
"I didn't expect a quick response and now the class has opened right in my commune, parents in the neighborhood are all excited because their children have a place to study, have useful activities, and are completely free during the summer," Ms. Hanh added.

Also in a happy mood when free summer classes are opened locally, Ms. Nguyen My Linh - another parent in Hoa Binh commune - said that what she cares about most is that her children have a healthy living environment, away from phones and TVs during the summer.
"I hope this model will continue to be maintained and spread to other communes, so that many rural children have more opportunities to study and play safely, instead of just hanging around at home with electronic devices," Ms. Linh shared.
When people accompany, the government is ready to support
According to Mr. Dinh Van Giau - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Hoa Binh commune - the demand for free summer classes is very high. After the model in Vinh Xuan commune was spread, many parents proactively contacted and hoped to have a similar class for their children.
Mr. Giau said that in rural areas, summer is the time when many children lack the conditions to study and live like in urban areas. Free summer classes help children have a healthy environment, away from electronic devices and risky accidents.
"Teachers are teachers from schools in the old Tra On district, while youth union members are responsible for organizing games, activities, and skills training. Thanks to that, they have the opportunity to review and have a useful playground during the summer, said Mr. Giau.

Mr. Nguyen Khanh - Head of a summer class in Vinh Xuan commune - said that the media plays a great role in spreading meaningful community models, especially with free summer classes.
According to Mr. Khanh, after Lao Dong Newspaper published a video about the class in Vinh Xuan, many parents in neighboring localities have proactively contacted him. Currently, not only Hoa Binh but many other communes in Tra Vinh and Ben Tre (old) also want to open a similar class in the summer.
When the press accompanies, the model is spread quickly. Many people understand and trust me after watching the video of Lao Dong Newspaper. We are planning to open more classes where there is a need, Mr. Khanh emphasized.
