On January 27, information from the Chairman of Tam Hop Commune People's Committee - Mr. Luong Phi Thanh said that a house in the area had just been completely burned down.
The fire broke out at around 9:00 a.m. on January 27 (28th of Lunar New Year) at the house of Mr. Chua Ba Co (39 years old, Huoi Son village, Tam Hop commune).
Upon discovering the fire, Tam Hop Border Guard Station and local authorities tried to use mini fire extinguishers to put out the fire, but because the house was made of wood and bamboo, controlling the fire was difficult.
When the fire was extinguished, Mr. Co's entire house was almost burned down.
The cause of the fire was that Mr. Co's family used the stove to dry meat for Tet. During the drying process, the fire broke out and burned down the house.
After the fire, Tam Hop Commune People's Committee and Tam Hop Border Guard Station encouraged and supported Mr. Co's family with some money and supplies to help his family stabilize their accommodation for Tet.
