According to the representative of the Joint Venture Management Board of Contractors for Package No. 12, the Tan Son Nhat International Airport Terminal T3 Project, due to the urgent progress to put Terminal T3 into operation as planned, some auxiliary items, including the stone foundation in the waiting hall area, are forced to continue implementation after the terminal comes into operation.

"Up to now, about 50% of the stone foundation area has been constructed. In the next 10 days, we will complete the main stages such as pumping glue through expansion joints, grinding and polishing the foundation. The entire stone foundation will be completed before June 30, said the contractor consortium Management Board.
Because the station is already operating, the construction only takes place between 0:00 and 0:00 to 0:00 to avoid affecting flight operations. The contractor hopes to receive sharing from the investor and passengers.

Previously, many passengers reported that the foundation stone at Terminal T3 was peeling and patching, causing loss of aesthetics. A representative of Tan Son Nhat International Airport said that they are coordinating with the construction unit to quickly overcome the shortcomings. In addition, some incidents such as roof leakage due to material curbs have also been handled.
Tan Son Nhat T3 Terminal has a total investment of more than VND 11,000 billion, started construction at the end of 2022 and inaugurated on April 19, 2025, 2 months ahead of schedule. The terminal has a designed capacity of 20 million passengers/year and is expected to reduce the pressure on Terminal T1, which has been overloaded for many years.
