On June 6, Ms. Quach Thi Thanh Binh - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Soc Trang province - said that the Department of Animal Health of Region VII has just announced the results of testing blood samples taken at a pig slaughter facility in Cho Cu hamlet, My Xuyen town (My Xuyen district).
This is a processing slaughterhouse for 4 CP Fresh Shop stores under CP Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company (abbreviated as CP Company) operating in Soc Trang province.
Test results did not detect the virus that causes African swine fever, classic swine fever and respiratory disorder syndrome in North American pigs.

Previously, on the afternoon of June 3, the Interdisciplinary Inspection Team of Soc Trang province inspected the above slaughterhouse, owned by Ms. Huynh Thi Ba.
At the time of inspection, the facility had all documents such as: Business Household Registration Certificate; Commitment to produce and trade safe agricultural, forestry and fishery foods; slaughter service contract between CP Company and Ms. Huynh Thi Ba.

The number of pigs slaughtered at the facility is 30-40 per day, of which pigs slaughtered by CP Company are 8-11 per day, originally imported from CP Long Thanh warehouse (Phung Hiep district, Hau Giang province) of CP Company.
At the time of the inspection, the pigs of CP Company were entering the kiln to slaughter, 11 of which were pigs, the facility provided a Certificate of quarantine for animals transported out of the province level issued by the Hau Giang Department of Animal Husbandry, Veterinary - Fisheries.
The authorities have also taken blood samples to test for dangerous infectious diseases in pigs.
