Previously, on the afternoon of July 28, a heavy thunderstorm occurred in Sen Ngu commune. In Liem Tien village, many snakehead fish farming households are preparing to enter harvest time.
During the thunderstorm, a lightning bolt suddenly hit the snakehead fish pond of Mr. Tran Van Hieu's family, causing most of the fish in the pond to die, and the rest were in a state of dying.
According to initial statistics, each snakehead fish weighs from 1.2-1.5kg. The total number of damaged fish is more than 3 tons, with an estimated value of hundreds of millions of VND.
Sen Ngu commune authorities are continuing to inspect the reality, specifically determine the extent of damage and consider relevant regulations to propose a plan to support the family.
