Man dies from lightning strike while working in the field in Lao Cai

    Lao Cai - A tragic lightning strike occurred in a field in Bao Ha commune, killing a man.

    In the afternoon of July 7, information from the Bao Ha commune government said that at about 3:30 pm on the same day, Mr. L.V. T (born in 1994, residing in Hong Bun village) was farming in the Hong Bun field when he suddenly encountered a thunderstorm with lightning. Mr. T. was unfortunately struck by lightning and died at the scene.

    Immediately after receiving the news, local authorities and mass organizations in the village were present to visit, encourage, and support the victim's family to take care of the funeral.

    Local authorities also recommend that people closely monitor weather developments, do not work in the fields or in empty areas when thunderstorms occur to limit unfortunate accidents caused by lightning.
