The Hanoi Department of Health - a member of the Hanoi Steering Committee 389 has just issued a decision to fine 9 medical and pharmaceutical establishments and 7 establishments in the field of food safety with a total fine of 312 million VND.

Accordingly, 9 medical and pharmaceutical establishments were punished, including:

Two pharmacies that did not submit a request for periodic assessment of maintaining compliance with good retail drug practices as prescribed by law were both fined VND 7.5 million: Minh Tam pharmacy (No. 125, Quan Tho 1 alley, O Cho Dua ward, Dong Da district) and Nguyen Gia pharmacy (CT2 DV-TM 24, 1st floor, CT2 building, IEC social housing project, Tu Hiep commune, Thanh Tri district).

Khanh Luong Health Consulting Joint Stock Company (No. 33 Nguyen Hoang Street, My Dinh 2 Ward, Nam Tu Liem District) was fined VND 8 million for mixing non-medicinal products with medicinal products in the case of additional business of cosmetics, functional foods, and medical equipment according to the provisions of law.

For not keeping documents and records related to the drug batch within the required retention period as prescribed by law, 4 facilities were fined 15 million VND.

Including Duc Hien Pharmaceutical - Medical Equipment Trading Company Limited (No. 11/232 Ton Duc Thang, Hang Bot Ward, Dong Da District); Van Xuan Company Limited Branch (Lot 11, DV 4, service land in Tay Nam Ho Linh Dam Urban Area, Hoang Liet Ward, Hoang Mai District); Anh Phuong Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company (House 52, Lane 143, Kham Thien Market Street, Trung Phung Ward, Dong Da District); VicPharma Hanoi Joint Stock Company (No. 110 Tran Phu, Mo Lao Ward, Ha Dong District).

Nhat Vu Pharmaceutical Trading Company Limited (Lk6D-9 (134) adjacent to the housing area of ​​CCS officers and soldiers investigating drug crimes (C17) Mo Lao Urban Area, Mo Lao Ward, Ha Dong District was fined 50 million VND for not submitting a request for periodic assessment of maintaining compliance with good drug distribution practices as prescribed by law.

Hong Ha Private General Hospital (No. 16 Nguyen Nhu Do, Van Mieu Ward, Dong Da) was fined 23 million VND for not complying with technical regulations in medical examination and treatment; practitioners did not practice within the registered time approved by the competent authority.

In addition to the fine, the Health Department Inspectorate also decided to suspend the operation of a part of the facility (the Department of Surgery - Anesthesia and Resuscitation of Hong Ha Private General Hospital); revoke the right to use the medical practice certificates of 04 hospital staff for 02 months.

Seven establishments in the food safety sector were penalized for violations such as failure to comply with legal regulations on the 3-step food inspection regime; the processing, trading and preservation areas were invaded by insects and harmful animals; there were not enough processing, preservation and separate tools for fresh and processed foods; failure to comply with legal regulations on food sample storage; no certificate of qualified food safety facilities...
