On February 3, information from Son La Provincial Police said that during the 9 peak days from January 25 (December 26) to February 2 (the 5th day of Tet), the Traffic Police force of the entire Son La province increased patrols, control and handling of violations of traffic safety and order.
According to statistics, 290 violations were detected, with a total fine of more than 1 billion VND.
Authorities revoked 13 driving licenses and detained 174 vehicles. Of these, alcohol violations accounted for the highest percentage with 163 cases, with total fines amounting to VND685 million.
In addition, during the Lunar New Year, the whole province recorded 7 traffic accidents, killing 6 people, injuring 8 people, and causing property damage of more than 100 million VND.
In the coming time, the authorities will continue to strengthen inspections and handle violations to ensure traffic safety after the Tet holiday, especially violations of alcohol concentration, speeding and not wearing helmets when participating in traffic.
Also according to Son La Provincial Police, before Tet, to support people working far away to return home for Tet conveniently, ensuring health and safety during travel, the Traffic Police Department of Son La Provincial Police organized support for people at 4 locations in the province.
The specific points include: Point No. 1 at Km 161, National Highway 6, in Pa Kha village, Long Luong commune, Van Ho district; Point No. 2 at Km 261, National Highway 6, in Co Noi commune, Mai Son district; Point No. 3 at Km 288, National Highway 6, in Chieng Mung commune, Mai Son district; Point No. 4 at Km 14, National Highway 32, in Du Lau village, Tan Lang commune, Phu Yen district.
On February 3, information from the Traffic Police Department, Cao Bang Provincial Police, during the 9-day Lunar New Year holiday (from January 25 to February 2), the Traffic Police force in the whole province detected and handled 277 cases of violations of the Road Traffic Law.
Of these, there were 97 cases of alcohol concentration violations; 17 cases of speed violations; 23 cases of not wearing helmets while driving motorbikes.
72 cases of not having a driver's license; 14 cases of not being old enough to drive; 96 cases of not having civil liability insurance; 23 cases of violating safety equipment.
The total amount of administrative fines has reached more than 1 billion VND. In addition, 12 cases of driver's license revocation, 38 cases of driver's license points deduction, and 142 vehicles of various types have been temporarily seized.
Currently, the Traffic Police force continues to strengthen patrols, control and strictly handle violations of the Road Traffic Law.
