Thai Nguyen - In early spring, at the ancient Cau Muoi temple (Phu Binh) with more than 300 years old, it attracts tens of thousands of people to worship and pray for peace, creating a bustling picture of spring colors.

In the early days of spring At Ty 2025, the atmosphere at the Cau Muoi Communal House - Temple - Pagoda Relic Complex (Cau Muoi Temple) became more bustling and crowded than ever.

Cau Muoi Temple was built in 1719, during the Later Le Dynasty, with a design consisting of 1 communal house, 2 temples and 1 pagoda, located on an area of tens of hectares in Tan Thanh Commune, Phu Binh District (Thai Nguyen). This place was recognized as a provincial historical relic in 2005.

According to the reporter's records at the beginning of the new year, from early morning, passenger vans lined up, bringing tourists from all over the provinces and cities (Bac Giang, Bac Ninh, Lang Son...) to worship and pray for peace, creating a bustling, joyful picture.

Inside the Cau Muoi Temple area, stalls selling salt, fresh flowers and other worship items are always bustling with shoppers. The salt packages are packaged and decorated delicately, and are an indispensable item on the New Year's offerings here.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan, a vendor in the Cau Muoi temple area, shared that every year, the Cau Muoi temple festival starts on the 4th day of the Lunar New Year and lasts until the end of the first lunar month.

"On this occasion, we always prepare and pre-package clean salt and rice packages. These two items are indispensable when preparing the offering tray. They symbolize prosperity, wealth, fullness and warmth. Each pre-packaged bag costs only 10,000 VND, and many people come to buy it," said Ms. Lan.

As a tourist from Bac Giang, Mr. Tran Van Binh said that this is the third year he and his family have come to Cau Muoi Temple. Every time he comes, he feels very happy, and especially the atmosphere here gives him a sense of peace and belief in a lucky and prosperous new year.

Many other tourists also said that coming to Cau Muoi Temple Festival is an indispensable part of the New Year tradition. In addition to its spiritual value, this relic also contains the heroic historical marks of the nation's resistance during the resistance wars against France and the US.

With its quiet space and ancient beauty, Cau Muoi Temple is not only a place to send wishes for the beginning of spring but also brings peace and joy to visitors. Thereby contributing to enriching the traditional cultural identities and values of this land.
