According to the leader of Vinh Tho Ward People's Committee, Nha Trang City (Khanh Hoa), at around 9:00 a.m. on January 19, people discovered a fishing boat sunk by large waves near the mouth of Cai River, near Tran Phu Bridge.
One person on the boat was confirmed to have fallen into the sea and was missing afterwards. Rescue forces were present at the scene of the boat accident to search for the victim.
It is known that the fisherman was sunk by a large wave while steering his fishing boat to the mouth of Cai River. The victim was identified as an old fisherman born in 1955, residing in Vinh Tho Ward, Nha Trang City.
