Binh Dinh fishermen missing while fishing at sea

While fishing, a fisherman from Binh Dinh province suddenly fell into the sea and went missing during the night.

On December 23, the Standing Office for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control of Binh Dinh province said that a crew member on a fishing boat of fishermen in Phu My district had just fallen into the sea and gone missing while fishing.

Initial information, on December 22, fishing boat number BD 94094 TS with a capacity of 867CV, 17m long, owned and captained by Mr. Vo Xuan Ngu (residing in My Thanh commune, Phu My district). The fishing boat has 14 crew members, departing from Ben Da (Ba Ria - Vung Tau province) to exploit seafood.

At 7:40 p.m. the same day, while the boat was fishing in the sea about 54 nautical miles south-southwest of Vung Tau cape, fisherman Nguyen Thanh Hai (born in 1972, residing in Phu Cat district) suddenly fell into the sea and went missing.

Upon discovering the incident, the crew on the ship organized a search but so far have not found any trace of Mr. Hai.

Previously, at the end of November 2024, a crew member on fishing vessel BD 97026 TS (19.5m long, 444CV capacity, tuna seining) also fell into the sea and went missing while fishing.
