Da Nang - Faced with the risk of heavy rain and deep flooding due to storm No. 12, many households in Hoa Khanh ward have proactively raised their belongings and moved their motorbikes to safety.

Faced with the complicated developments of storm No. 12, many households in alleys and exits of Me Suot Street (Hoa Khanh Ward, Da Nang City) have proactively raised their furniture, appliances, and electronic equipment to avoid damage when the water rises.

Mr. Nguyen Cong Tri, residing on Me Suot Street, said that as soon as he heard about the information about storm No. 12 that could cause heavy rain, his family proactively raised all the items in the house such as desks and chairs, refrigerators, water purifiers, electric motorbikes... to prevent sudden rising water without having time to react.

"My family has moved all our belongings and clothes to the attic, motorbikes are sent in high ground, while electric motorbikes are temporarily put on the seats - the water rises and raises them as high as it is.

Every time I heard a heavy rain, my whole family was nervous and didn't dare sleep because I was afraid that the water would rise so quickly that I wouldn't be able to react. From the experience of previous floods, whenever we saw rain, we immediately moved our belongings up high and brought light items up to the attic, Mr. Tri shared.

As for Mr. Le Minh Duc's family (Hoa Khanh ward, Da Nang city), Mr. Duc has been parking his motorbike at a relative's house since early this morning to avoid deep flooding.

In that situation, on the morning of October 22, the Da Nang City Military Command also inspected every street and alley on Me Suot Street, the army, militia and functional forces also supported people to raise their belongings and make a list of people to evacuate.
