On the evening of July 2nd, the art-politics television bridge "Radiant Name of the Person" was organized on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the City of Saigon - Gia Dinh honorably named after President Ho Chi Minh (July 2, 1976 - July 2, 2026), recreating the proud historical journey of Ho Chi Minh City through half a century of development.
The program with the main bridge point at the Reunification Hall, connecting to Ba Dinh Square, Cam Ranh Military Port, Con Dao Special Zone and art performance stages at Binh Duong Ward Central Park, Tam Thang Tower (Vung Tau Ward) and Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street.



With a duration of about 120 minutes, the program includes three chapters: "City of the aspiration for unification", "City of the aspiration to rise up" and "City in the new era", depicting important historical milestones, the development process of Ho Chi Minh City and the feelings of compatriots across the country for the City named after Uncle Ho.
Through reports, documents and stories from witnesses and guests, the program opens with a journey 115 years ago, when young man Nguyen Tat Thanh left Nha Rong Wharf to find a way to save the country. Images of landmarks in France, England, the United States, Russia... where President Ho Chi Minh once lived, studied and participated in revolutionary activities are recreated, along with stories about the deep feelings he had for the South.
The program also recalls the historical milestone at the first session of the 6th National Assembly in 1976, when the National Assembly decided to rename Saigon - Gia Dinh city to Ho Chi Minh City - an event that opened a new development journey for the largest city in the country.




Half a century named after President Ho Chi Minh, Ho Chi Minh City has affirmed its role as the economic locomotive, the center of innovation of the whole country. From pioneering policies in the renovation process, the spirit of daring to think, daring to do, and daring to take responsibility has created motivation for the city to constantly break through, becoming one of the important growth poles of Vietnam.

Not only recreating historical milestones, "Radiant Name of Uncle Ho" also spreads pride in the City named after Uncle Ho, honoring the bravery, pioneering spirit and aspiration to contribute of many generations of people in Ho Chi Minh City.
The program sends a message about a city that continues to innovate, be creative, develop civilized, modern, and compassionate, and firmly step into a new era of development with the whole country.
