Traffic accident kills 2 people at Thu Duc market

HCMC - The authorities have blocked off the scene of a series of accidents that killed two people in Thu Duc City to investigate the cause.

As of around 5:00 p.m. on May 22, the authorities of Tam Binh Ward, Thu Duc City were still coordinating with Ho Chi Minh City Police to block off and investigate the cause of a series of traffic accidents that killed 2 people on Do Muoi Street, in front of Thu Duc Agricultural and Food Product Market.

According to initial information, at around 3:00 p.m., a line of vehicles was traveling on Do Muoi Street in the direction from Thu Duc City to District 12. At the section passing in front of Thu Duc Agricultural and Food Market, a truck with a license plate from Lam Dong province suddenly rushed in from behind.

After hitting two motorbikes, the truck continued to drive forward and hit another car and a Van truck, forming a chain of accidents.

The accident caused 2 people on the motorbike to die on the spot, the male technology driver and the female passenger.

After the accident, the authorities arrived to block off a section of road to investigate the cause of the accident.

The accident occurred during rush hour on the main road of the gateway to Ho Chi Minh City, causing prolonged traffic congestion.

The cause of the accident is currently being investigated and clarified.
