On May 15, the Traffic Police Department of Quang Tri Province Police confirmed that a traffic accident occurred on National Highway 1A through Quang Tri Town (Quang Tri Province), killing one person.
The incident occurred at 7:35 a.m. the same day at Km770+650 National Highway 1A (the intersection between National Highway 1A - Tran Hung Dao - Tran Thi Tam road) in Ward 1, Quang Tri town.
Initial information shows that the tractor-trailer with license plate 75C - 128.XX, pulling a trailer 75R - 010.XX driven by driver T.T.T (born in 1987, residing in Phu Loc, Hue City) was traveling in the South - North direction. When arriving at the intersection with a traffic signal, the tractor-trailer collided with a bicycle driven by Ms. N.T.T (born in 1964, residing in Hai Le commune, Quang Tri town).
At the time of the collision, Ms. N.T.T was driving a bicycle from Tran Thi Tam Street to Tran Hung Dao Street.
The collision caused Ms. T to die on the spot.
The cause of the accident is currently being investigated.
