The accident occurred at around 10:00 a.m. on September 7 at the curve of Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street and My Phuoc Tan Van Street in Tan Dong Hiep Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.
Initial information, at that time, a tractor-trailer was turning right from Nguyen Thi Minh Khai to My Phuoc Tan Van, Tan Dong Hiep ward. At this time, the tractor-trailer collided with a motorbike carrying a woman and her daughter.
Discovering the accident, people shouted to the driver to stop the vehicle. When people came to check and discovered that the woman had died, and her daughter was slightly scratched. The accident was then reported to the authorities.
At the scene, the tractor-trailer stopped while cornering onto My Phuoc Tan Van road. The woman's body was close to the rear wheel of the tractor-trailer. The motorbike was slightly damaged, lying about 3 m away from the tractor-trailer.
The identity of the deceased victim was identified as Ms. T.T.H (45 years old, from the old Ben Tre hometown, now Vinh Long province), the lucky escapee's daughter was N.T.K.N (17 years old).
After receiving the report, local authorities have protected the scene. By 11:30 a.m. the same day, Ho Chi Minh City Police had completed the scene investigation. The cause of the accident is being investigated.
