    Ninh Binh - On September 1, a fire broke out at a sedge chieu production facility in Kim Son commune.

    The fire broke out at around 8:00 a.m. on September 1, at Hung Tien handicraft facility (specializing in sedge chieu production) in Hung Tien 2 hamlet, Kim Son commune, Ninh Binh province.

    Talking to reporters of Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Cao Son - Chairman of Kim Son Commune People's Committee - said that the fire broke out at the warehouse of Hung Tien handicraft facility, then quickly spread to other areas.

    "Immediately after discovering the fire, workers here used a pre- equipped fire extinguished and sprayed water to put out the fire but failed. About 1 hour later, after the participation of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police of Ninh Binh Province Police, the fire was controlled" - Mr. Son said.

    According to Mr. Son, the fire did not cause any human casualties, although many raw materials, products and assets inside the factory were burned down.

    There are currently no statistics on property damage. The authorities are investigating and clarifying the cause of the fire.
