National Highway 4C is a vital road connecting from the center of Ha Giang (old) to highland communes.
Every day, this route has a very crowded number of people and vehicles passing by. Especially car convoys taking tourists to the rocky plateau.

After prolonged rains, landslides on National Highway 4C pose a risk of traffic unsafety. Faced with this situation, functional forces are mobilizing manpower and equipment to deploy remediation.
Recorded by Lao Dong Newspaper reporters on August 21, at some points on the route, workers and machinery were mobilized to treat soil and rocks and reinforce taluys at affected locations.
At the scene, workers urgently poured soil and rocks, using nets to reinforce the taluy, limiting the risk of continued landslides when it rains heavily.
Around the construction area, ropes are stretched and warning signs are placed to ensure safety for vehicles participating in traffic.
Worker Nguyen Van An (Quan Ba commune, Tuyen Quang province) said that the remediation is being implemented urgently during the rainy season, taking advantage of time to handle landslide-prone locations.
Soil and rocks are poured in additionally at the locations that need treatment, and stone-covered nets are used to reinforce the taluy. From there, it will limit the situation of continuous landslides," Mr. An said.
Overcoming landslide points on National Highway 4C will help ensure traffic safety, creating favorable conditions for people and tourists when moving to the rocky plateau.
Previously, at the end of July 2026, Lao Dong Newspaper had an article reflecting on the fact that along National Highway 4C there were dozens of landslide points.
At some locations, large stone blocks appeared on the positive slope overflowing onto the road surface, functional forces had to stretch ropes and place stakes to warn and divert traffic.
Vehicles when traveling through this area are forced to reduce speed, move slowly and yield to each other through narrow road sections.
