On the morning of August 23, some localities in Thai Nguyen experienced moderate to heavy rain, with very heavy rain in some places.
At Km10+800 DT. 253, belonging to Phuc Loc commune, water rose through the spillway. Management units have mobilized machinery to clear the flow, collect trees and obstacles stuck in the spillway area to ensure drainage and traffic.
Similarly, at Km48+760 DT. 256, water rose over the spillway surface, making it impossible for motorbikes to circulate. Functional agencies have arranged warning signs, checkpoints, and guided people not to pass through dangerous areas.
Prolonged heavy rain also caused landslides at Km293+450 National Highway 279, causing local traffic congestion.
At Km147+800 National Highway 3B, a positive taluy landslide occurred, soil and rocks spilled onto the road surface.
The landslide point at Km1+900 DT. 252B has also been handled. DT. 251, DT. 252, DT. 258B and DT. 258C routes are still circulating normally.
After the natural disaster, functional forces mobilized vehicles to deploy to overcome the consequences.
Up to now, traffic on the routes is basically maintained, and there has been no prolonged disruption.
However, rain may still continue to cause landslides and flooding in key locations.
