According to initial information, the incident occurred at about 7:30 pm, when it was raining in Phu Tho province, the road surface was slippery.
Vehicles including passenger cars, worker cars and trucks were traveling on the Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho expressway when a collision occurred.
The location of the accident is at Km35, in Tram Than commune.
At the scene, there were passengers trapped in the passenger car cabin that had been seriously deformed after the collision. The accident also caused local traffic congestion on the highway.
Hung Vuong Phu Tho General Hospital said that it has dispatched at least 8 ambulances, including 6 ambulances of the hospital and 2 ambulances of clinics from 3 different directions to the scene to transport injured people to the emergency room.
8 injured people were taken to Hung Vuong - Chan Mong General Clinic. The cause of the accident is being investigated and clarified by functional agencies.
