The incident occurred at noon on the same day at Km85+700 of the Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway.
At the scene, the passenger car overturned, blocking lanes No. 2 and 3 of the expressway, the car stopped in lane No. 1, damaging the front after the collision. Traffic through the accident area was also affected.
Immediately after receiving the news, the Traffic Police force and the unit managing and operating the expressway quickly arrived to organize traffic diversion and regulation, ensure safety and coordinate to handle the scene.
According to Lao Dong's source, the collision killed 1 person, injured more than 20 people, and was taken to the hospital for emergency treatment. Currently, the cause of the accident is being investigated and clarified by functional agencies.
