Gia Lai - Public assets leased or linked for improper purposes must be handled according to the provisions of law.

On February 5, Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee said that it has requested departments, communes, and wards in the area to strictly manage public assets, especially surplus assets after mergers, from July 1, 2025.

Gia Lai province requests regular review of the management and use of public assets at agencies, organizations, and units to promptly handle surplus assets that are not in need of use or are no longer usable in accordance with current legal regulations.

Functional agencies must thoroughly handle assets used for improper purposes, encroached upon, disputed, leased, lent, joint ventured, and linked in violation of regulations; ensure the management and use of assets economically and effectively, avoiding loss and waste.

At the beginning of 2026, many houses and land managed and operated by the Provincial Tax Department and Provincial Social Insurance were transferred back to the locality.

Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee also assigned relevant communes and wards to receive 36 more houses and land currently under the management of Gia Lai Provincial Tax Department to be brought to local management.

At the same time, it agreed on the policy of receiving 16 housing and land facilities managed by Gia Lai Provincial Social Insurance to hand over to the locality for continued management.
