Social networks recently spread a clip recording a traffic collision that occurred on the Tran Duy Hung overpass, in the direction of Nguyen Chi Thanh street.
According to images from the dashcam, the incident occurred at about 8:45 pm on April 16, 2026. At this time, a car was moving on the overpass in the direction from Tran Duy Hung to Nguyen Chi Thanh.
When approaching the middle of the bridge, another car suddenly overtook from the right and then steered to the left, causing the rear of the car to collide with the front of the car traveling in the same direction.
Notably, after the collision, the driver of the overtaking car also assaulted the driver of the other vehicle.
Talking to PV, Mr. L.V. N (taxi driver, 37 years old, residing in Hung Yen province) confirmed that he was the driver who was assaulted in the above incident.
Mr. L.V. N said that on the evening of April 16, he picked up a passenger at 100 Tran Duy Hung, then started moving onto the overpass to go to Nguyen Chi Thanh. When traveling on the bridge, Mr. N went in his right lane.
According to Mr. N, when moving to near the middle of the bridge, a Mercedes car with license plate 30H-643. XX suddenly overtook from the right and collided with the front of his car.
When I got off the bridge, this car turned on the right turn signal, forced my car to the side of the road and stopped to handle the incident. As soon as I got off the car, I asked "what kind of driving are you doing?", the driver raised his hand and slapped me. I ran away but this person continued to chase, cursing and hitting my head," Mr. N recounted.
Also according to Mr. N, at the above time, the Mercedes driver continuously demanded compensation from him, claiming that he was the one who caused the collision.
When many people gathered to watch and used their phones to record the incident, the Mercedes driver got into the car and left, despite Mr. N's efforts to hold him back.
When that driver talked, I smelled strong alcohol, I don't know if this person was drunk or not," Mr. N shared.

At more than 2 am on April 17, Mr. N came to Hospital 19-8 for a health check due to pain in the face and neck and signs of shock. The incident was then reported to Lang Ward Police (Hanoi).
Regarding the above incident, the commander of Lang Ward Police said that the unit had received the victim's report and proceeded to verify and summon the car driver involved to work.
The cause of the incident is currently being clarified.
