On the evening of April 6, in the railway crossing area Km788+515, Thanh Khe ward, Da Nang city, a security and order disturbance occurred when a woman driving a motorbike intentionally overtook the train warning signal, and then rushed to assault 2 female crossing guards on duty.
According to initial information, at about 8 pm on April 6, two barrier guards, Ms. Truong Thi Diep Thuy and Ms. Nguyen Thi Mong Tuyen, were performing the task of picking up the train. At that time, the red light had been turned on, the barrier had been lowered, the train was approaching, but the middle-aged woman still tried to swerve, overcome the barrier, and approach the tracks.
Detecting the risk of particularly serious accidents, the two female employees continuously warned and asked the woman to stop to ensure safety. However, this person did not comply but also attacked and assaulted 2 level crossing guards.
The incident not only directly threatens the lives of violators but also causes insecurity and disorder in the railway area, affecting the forces on duty to ensure train safety.
After the incident, Quang Nam - Da Nang Railway JSC reported the incident to Thanh Khe Ward Police, and at the same time took 2 level crossing guards to the hospital for health checks. The enterprise said it will continue to report to functional agencies for consideration and handling according to regulations after having the results of inspection and injury assessment.
On the same evening, the police intervened to investigate and verify the identity of the woman mentioned above, to handle according to legal regulations.
