A man was fined 10 million VND by the Binh Trieu Traffic Police Team and had his three-wheeled vehicle confiscated after driving an old, bulky car, causing traffic congestion. The incident was discovered thanks to a video circulating on social media.
Previously, on August 21, a video recording a scene of a three-wheeled vehicle carrying an old car "checking" on Thanh Xuan 52 Street, Thoi An Ward, causing obstruction and traffic congestion, caused a stir on social networks.
Immediately, Binh Trieu Traffic Police Team (HCMC Traffic Police Department) stepped in to verify. Two days later, the authorities found the driver, Mr. L.C.T. (40 years old, from Thanh Hoa) and invited him to work.
At the police station, Mr. T. admitted his actions. He explained that he only bought a "brake" of a car 300 meters from his house and because it was too bulky, he took the whole car and did not disassemble it.
After verification, the traffic police fined Mr. T. for three serious violations: carrying goods exceeding the limit, causing danger and obstructing traffic; not having a driver's license; not having a legal vehicle registration.
The total fine for the above violations is 10 million VND. In addition, Mr. T.'s three-wheeled vehicle was also temporarily detained for verification. The authorities determined that this was a vehicle of unknown origin and did not ensure traffic safety, so they carried out procedures to confiscate it according to the provisions of law.
