On the evening of March 23, a clip was circulated on social media recording a young man wearing a motorbike taxi shirt aggressively getting on a bus and attacking a driver while driving a vehicle. The incident occurred when there were many passengers on the bus, causing chaos.
Through verification, this incident occurred at around 5:30 a.m. on March 22, when bus No. 19 (Ben Thanh - Linh Trung Export Processing Zone - National University route) was stopping to pick up passengers at a gas station near Road No. 3, Thu Duc City, when a young man wearing a motorbike taxi shirt suddenly appeared and got into the bus. This subject attacked driver Tran Huu Ch (born in 1972) violently, causing the driver to not have time to react.

The young man's sudden and violent actions caused panic among the passengers on the bus. Many people were frightened and scared by this situation. The bus conductor quickly intervened, pulling the subject down to ensure the safety of the driver and passengers. After that, the bus continued the journey.
The Ho Chi Minh City Public Transport Management Center (Bus Center) confirmed the incident and said it is coordinating with authorities to investigate the cause. The representative of the Bus Center emphasized that the case will be strictly handled according to the provisions of the law.
This incident has caused concerns about security on public transport in Ho Chi Minh City. Previously, in Ho Chi Minh City, a technology car driver also got into a fight with the security guard of the Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien metro line. The reason was that this driver was waiting for customers at the Metro No. 1 overpass of Thu Duc station and had a cigarette. The station security guard approached the reminder and had conflicts.
The authorities are investigating to clarify the cause and strictly handle related subjects, in order to ensure the safety of people when using public transport.
