Mr. Tra Thanh Danh - Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai City has just announced the results of the implementation of the Thach Bich green park project for the authorities and especially the people in Group 6, Le Hong Phong Ward, Quang Ngai City (the project area has been suspended for 29 years, and is being monitored by the People's Committee of Quang Ngai City for the Thach Bich green park project).
According to Mr. Tra Thanh Danh, on March 4, the Department of Construction issued an official dispatch announcing the results of the appraisal of the feasibility study report on investment in the construction of the Thach Bich green park project. On this basis, the People's Committee of Quang Ngai City has approved the feasibility study report for investment in park construction, and has completed all procedures to report to the Provincial People's Committee to submit to the Provincial People's Council at the thematic meeting on March 19, 2025, in order to allocate capital to implement the project and register the list of land acquisition works in 2025.
According to Mr. Tra Thanh Danh, in April 2025, based on the feasibility study report on investment in the construction of the Thach Bich green park project approved and allocated capital by the Provincial People's Committee, the People's Committee of Quang Ngai City will continue to direct the investor to submit for approval the bidding plan for phase I of the project and implement the following tasks such as: Selecting a consulting unit for cadastral surveying and marking the project boundary; making a plan to carry out land acquisition, surveying and compensation for site clearance. On that basis, it will coordinate with the People's Committee of Le Hong Phong Ward to submit to the People's Committee of Quang Ngai City to issue a notice of land recovery to implement the project as soon as possible.
Mr. Tra Thanh Danh assigned the People's Committee of Le Hong Phong Ward to be responsible for publicly announcing and fully informing the households of Group 6, Le Hong Phong Ward, Quang Ngai City for people to monitor.
The Thach Bich green park project will be implemented in the 2024-2027 period, with a total investment of nearly VND900 billion with an area of about 8.1 hectares.
As Lao Dong Newspaper has reported, for 29 years living in a state of suspended planning, people in Group 6 (Le Hong Phong Ward, Quang Ngai City) have been waiting waiting for the Thach Bich green park project to be implemented, so that people can escape the state of suspended planning. Nearly 3 decades of suspended planning have caused people's lives to be miserable, their houses to leak and suffer enough damage.
