According to information from the People's Committee of Quang Bi commune (Hanoi), due to the impact of the tropical convergence zone, there are prolonged heavy rains in Quang Bi commune, causing water levels in rivers and canals to continue to rise, causing flooding in some areas, affecting people's travel and daily life.
Currently, Lam Dien pontoon bridge, An Hien pontoon bridge, Mai bridge and some temporary bridges connecting Quang Bi commune with Binh Minh commune, Thanh Oai commune have been flooded.
This situation poses a high risk of unsafety for people and vehicles when traveling across the bridge.
To ensure the safety of people's lives and property, the People's Committee of Quang Bi commune announced a temporary absolute ban on people and all vehicles from traveling through Lam Dien pontoon bridge, An Hien pontoon bridge, Mai bridge and flooded bridge areas until further notice.
The Commune People's Committee has directed functional forces to attach warning signs and arrange barriers in the bridge areas. The Commune People's Committee requests people to seriously comply, absolutely not to arbitrarily dismantle barriers, and not to intentionally cross the bridge when there is a no-entry sign.
Families need to regularly remind and manage relatives, especially children and the elderly, not to arbitrarily approach or pass through the flooded pontoon bridges and temporary bridges.
In case of needing to move, people proactively choose other roads to ensure safety, and regularly monitor information and warnings about the flood situation provided by the People's Committee of Quang Bi commune on the commune radio system and official information channels.
Quang Bi Commune People's Committee requests all people to raise their vigilance, absolutely not to be subjective, seriously comply with the ban order, and not to arbitrarily cross the warned and barricaded areas to ensure safety for themselves, their families and the community during the rainy and flood season.
