On October 2, the People's Committee of Kim Ngan commune (Quang Tri province) confirmed that it had issued a decision to temporarily suspend Ms. Do Thi Hong Hue - Vice Principal in charge of boarding at Kim Thuy Primary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities for 15 days.
This move was made after the incident of 75 students not coming to class after a suspected food poisoning incident on September 26. According to local authorities, the temporary suspension is to stabilize the situation, avoiding further frustration among public opinion and parents.
The related contents will continue to be verified, waiting for the official conclusion from the authorities to be handled according to regulations.
By the morning of October 2, all students had been taken back to school by their parents, and teaching activities returned to normal.
As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, on September 26, after breakfast at Kim Thuy Primary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, 40 students suspected of being poisoned had to be hospitalized for treatment, and are now stable.
The incident was also controversial when the clip recorded the Vice Principal preventing students from going to the hospital despite medical staff's request for an urgent transfer, until parents put new pressure on the students to hospitalize. The Commune People's Committee is verifying the incident.
