Storms and floods have left many people dead and missing; many houses flooded, collapsed, damaged; many hectares of rice and crops flooded and buried; many hectares of aquatic products damaged; many livestock and poultry died and were swept away; many roads and bridges were damaged and degraded; many places are being cut off, many residential areas are isolated... With the spirit of "mutual love and support", "the healthy leaves cover the torn leaves", union officials and employees of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies have been and are devoting their hearts and efforts to join hands to overcome the consequences of storms and floods, sharing and supporting people in areas affected by storms and floods.
Faced with the situation of floods caused by storm No. 3 causing serious damage, implementing the direction of the Party Secretary of the Central Bank for Social Policies, General Director of the Bank for Social Policies and the launch of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, calling on organizations and individuals to join hands, contribute, and help support people affected by storm No. 3 to overcome difficulties, the Trade Union of the Bank for Social Policies has donated 500 million VND to support people in provinces suffering from floods to quickly overcome the consequences of natural disasters and stabilize their lives; at the same time, sending working delegations to localities affected by storm No. 3 to express condolences, visit, encourage, and give gifts to people in difficult circumstances affected by storms.
In Ninh Binh province, the People's Credit Fund visited and offered condolences to the family of Lieutenant Nguyen Dinh Khiem, from Yen My commune, Yen Mo district, 27 years old, Company leader of Company 3, Brigade 513, Military Region 3, who died while performing the task of preventing storm No. 3 in Luc Hon commune, Binh Lieu district (Quang Ninh) on September 7, 2024.
In Bac Giang province, on the afternoon of September 10, Deputy General Director of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies Hoang Minh Te visited, encouraged and presented gifts to support 6 families whose relatives died, were injured and suffered heavy property damage due to the impact of storm No. 3 in Bien Dong commune (Luc Ngan district) and Cam Dan commune (Son Dong district).
In Hoa Binh province, on the morning of September 11, Deputy General Director of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies Nguyen Duc Hai and local leaders promptly visited, offered condolences and presented gifts to families whose relatives died due to storm No. 3 in Da Bac district. Among them, the family of a borrower from the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies, Mr. Xa Van Xom (born in 1972) in Cham hamlet, Tan Minh commune, Da Bac district, had a landslide from the hill into his house in the early morning of September 8, causing his house to completely collapse. At that time, 5 people in the house were buried, 4 people died including Mr. Xom's wife, daughter and 2 grandchildren. Mr. Xom was injured.
In Quang Ninh province - a locality located in the eye of storm No. 3, which suffered from strong winds of level 13-14 to level 16-17 with heavy devastation, on September 11, Deputy General Director of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies Le Thi Duc Hanh, leaders of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies Trade Union and local authorities were present to promptly encourage, visit, share and give gifts to families in difficult circumstances, households borrowing capital from the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies who suffered heavy property damage caused by storm No. 3 in Tien Yen and Van Don districts.
