On July 11, according to reporters of Lao Dong Newspaper, the contractor is focusing machinery and manpower, accelerating the construction of the Ham Nghi extended road project, passing through Ha Huy Tap ward.
At the construction site, dozens of trucks, excavators, excavators, rollers... and many workers participated in the construction.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Thang - Site Commander of Truong Son 185 Joint Stock Company said that Truong Son 185 Joint Stock Company and another contractor are responsible for constructing more than 1 km in the total length of 3.3 km of the Ham Nghi extended road project.
According to Mr. Thang, after many years of land problems, on June 20, after the Ha Tinh Land Fund Development Center coordinated with Ha Huy Tap ward authorities to remove and gradually hand over the land, the unit mobilized machinery and manpower back to the construction site to carry out construction according to the motto of handing over the land to where, constructing to there.

Mr. Thang said that currently on the route, there are still 2 churches and some electric poles and water pipes that have not been dismantled. This affects the construction of the unit.
Therefore, we really hope that the Ha Tinh Land Fund Development Center (the investor of the Ham Nghi extended road site clearance sub-project) will urgently complete site clearance and hand over 100% of the site to the contractor to organize smooth and smooth construction.
According to the plan, by August 30, 2026, the project must be completed and technically opened to traffic; by the end of December 2026, the entire project must be completed and handed over for operation. Therefore, the schedule pressure on contractors is very high.
The Ham Nghi extended road project has a length of 3.3 km with the starting point connecting National Highway 1 bypass through Thach Dai commune (now Ha Huy Tap ward), the ending point connecting to the National Highway 8C branch through Thach Xuan commune, with a total investment of more than 575 billion VND.
The project was started in November 2022, according to the schedule, it must be completed by the end of 2024. However, by the end of 2024, only more than 2 km was completed in a favorable location for site clearance, mainly related to agricultural land.
With more than 1 km remaining, due to site problems with residential areas, it is necessary to build 2 resettlement areas, so site clearance is facing many difficulties.

Recently, Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee approved the adjustment and increase of investment capital of the project by another 55 billion VND. In which, mainly to supplement compensation and site clearance funds to be appropriate and create consensus among the people.
With this adjustment, the total investment capital of the Ham Nghi extended road project is 630 billion VND. The project has also been adjusted in progress, extended until December 31, 2026.
