After more than a year of implementation, the biggest bottleneck hindering the progress of the My Thuy intersection project, Ho Chi Minh City, has just been officially removed when 100% of the site is clean and has been handed over to the investor. With the completion of recovering 199/199 dossiers belonging to component project 2 (total area of nearly 166,278 m2), contractors are currently simultaneously mobilizing manpower and construction equipment for the sprint.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (Traffic Board), the total volume of the entire project currently reaches nearly 80%, determined to bring the project to completion in the third quarter of 2026.

Real-world records at the large construction site of My Thuy intersection show that thanks to the cleared ground, the construction atmosphere is taking place urgently. In the areas around My Thuy canal, the construction unit has basically completed the roadbed under the existing bridges.
Currently, contractors are focusing manpower and machinery to accelerate the construction of the underpass on Nguyen Thi Dinh street, along with the drainage system and roadbed at the turns. The right turn from Dong Van Cong to Vo Chi Cong (Phu Huu bridge direction) is also being urgently completed with final items.

At the same time, the progress of elevated overpass items has also clearly changed. For the right branch of the overpass on Ring Road 2, Ky Ha 3 bridge and Ky Ha 4 bridge, contractors are focusing their efforts on constructing span structures, bridge piers and approach roads at both ends. Notably, at the overpass turning left from Cat Lai to Phu My - a key traffic axis to help clear container truck traffic - most of the lower structures (pillars, bridge abutments) have been formed, the construction site is currently bustling with the installation of steel girders connecting the spans.

The My Thuy intersection project started in 2016 with a total investment of more than 3,600 billion VND, is a key traffic project to remove traffic jams in the Cat Lai port area. In the 2019 - 2021 period, many items belonging to phases 1 and 2 such as Ky Ha 3 bridge, Ring Road 2 overpass (left branch), left turn tunnel from Ring Road 2 to Cat Lai and My Thuy 3 bridge have been put into operation. Accelerating the completion of phase 3 of this super intersection after solving the site problem will directly eliminate the "black spot" of congestion, clear logistics flow and create strong economic development momentum for the entire region.
