Fishing boat in distress 7km from shore, 7 people rescued safely

    Ha Tinh - A fishing boat sank at sea, Cua Sot Border Guard Station successfully rescued 7 fishermen and brought them ashore safely.

    According to Cua Sot Border Guard Station, at 2:00 PM on May 28, the unit received a notice that fishing vessel number TH-91895-TS captained by Mr. Pham Van Ninh (born 1986, residing in Thanh Hoa province) encountered an accident while fishing, sinking about 7km from the shore.

    At the time of the accident, there were 7 crew members on board.

    Upon receiving the news, the unit sent 8 officers and soldiers on a canoe to rescue, and at the same time contacted vehicles operating nearby for support.

    After approaching, all 7 fishermen were successfully rescued and brought ashore safely.

    The sunken fishing boat has also been towed by other vehicles on the way to Cua Sot fishing port.
