On March 31, Thanh Thanh Phat Passenger Transport Company Limited (the operator of the Phu Quy Express high-speed train operating the Ho Chi Minh City - Con Dao route and vice versa) announced that it would temporarily suspend operations on April 1 and 2, due to bad weather.
According to this unit, in the next 2 days, the influence of the Northeast monsoon will have winds of level 5-6, gusts of level 7, waves 1.5-3m high, which will not ensure safety for the journey on the Ho Chi Minh City - Con Dao route and vice versa.
Therefore, the unit had to temporarily suspend the operation of the Con Dao - Ho Chi Minh City route (launched at 11:30 on April 1) and the Ho Chi Minh City - Con Dao route (launched at 7:00 on April 2).
Another unit also operating passenger transport to Con Dao, Phu Quoc Express, said that it also received information about the weather as above, in the coastal areas of Vung Tau - Con Dao and Soc Trang - Con Dao in the next 2 days.
This unit is currently operating the Vung Tau - Con Dao route and vice versa; the Tran De - Con Dao route and vice versa with 3 high-speed trains, and announced that it will still operate normal passenger transport.
Of which, the Thang Long high-speed train will still depart at 7:30 a.m. on April 1 from Vung Tau to Con Dao; and depart at 1:00 p.m. on February 2 from Con Dao to Vung Tau.
Meanwhile, the Trung Nhi and Con Dao Express 36 high-speed trains still depart at 7:30 and 8:00 from Tran De to Con Dao; at 1:00 and 1:30 p.m., they turn around from Con Dao back to Tran De, on both days of April 1 and 2.
